Kamov orders U.S. data acquisition systems
ZHUKOVSKY, Russia, Aug. 30 () -- New Ka-62 helicopters from Kamov,[url=http://www.leedpe.com/]christian louboutin pigalle[/url], a division of Russian Helicopters, are to be equipped with data acquisition systems from Curtiss-Wright Controls Inc.Curtiss-Wright Controls, headquartered in North Carolina, announced the contract from the International Aviation & Space salon exhibition in Russia but did not disclose the monetary value of the award.The Ka-62 single-rotor aircraft is designed for use as cargo transport, medical evacuation and search-and-rescue missions.Under the award,[url=http://www.leedpe.com/]christian louboutin sale[/url], the helicopters are being equipped with Acra KAM-500 data acquisition products from CWC's Avionics & Electronics division.The KAM-500 will be used to acquire and record test parameters during the Ka-62's flight testing program."We are very proud that Russian Helicopters selected our data acquisition systems technology for use on its important new Ka-62 helicopter," said Tom Quinly, president of Curtiss-Wright Controls. "This agreement, our first with Russian Helicopters, one of the world's largest manufacturers of rotorcraft, strengthens our Avionics & Electronics division's position as a leading supplier of helicopter avionics and further expands our business in the Russian market."Kamov signed an accord this week with the Sagem Group of France for development of an enhanced version of the Kamov-52 Alligator attack helicopter. The new aircraft would be equipped with Sagem optronic equipment and LINS 100 inertial navigation systems.
