New UAV protection system to make debut
HAIFA, Israel, June 12 () -- A new electronic warfare system designed to protect unmanned aircraft systems is being launched by an Israeli company.Elisra, a subsidiary of Elbit Systems Ltd., will unveil the system at the Paris Air Show next week.Elisra's UAS Self Protection system is based on Elbit's modular SPS65-V5 EW and SIGNIT system and allows for the addition/removal of capabilities based on the operational requirements. It can be installed onboard a wide range of UAS platforms."The increased global use of UAS is accompanied by a growing demand for survivability capabilities for these platforms, enabling protection of both the mission and the platform itself, as well as the unique and valuable sensors carried onboard," said Edgar Maimon, general manager of Elisra."The range of sensors included in this new protection system will also contribute to and enhance the UAS' intelligence gathering capabilities. Like other UAS-related systems developed by Elisra,Supra Black Shoes, the new protection system complements other Elbit Systems' developments,Supra Shoes Cheap, thus providing customers with a suite of generic solutions for survivability and intelligence needs." |
