Fox Sports to televise U.S. Open golf tournament in 2015

Nager said."The game is evolving and requires bold and unique approaches on many levels, and Fox shares our vision to seek fresh thinking and innovative ideas to deliver championship golf. The last of those will come next year at Pinehurst, N.C.The deal with the USGA comes 19 years after Fox agreed to pay $395 million a season to televise the NFC portion of the NFL schedule in a contract that led to a windfall for pro football.In the last 20 years the yearly television income for the NFL has grown from $900 million to $4.95 billion.
