Joe Thornton leads San Jose Sharks to brawling win vs,hollister clearance. St. Louis Blues
ST. LOUIS,moncler sale, Oct. 15 () -- Joe Thornton supplied a goal and three assists Tuesday and the San Jose Sharks cruised to a sixth straight win in a brawl-filled 6-2 rout of St. Louis. The Sharks center helped set up San Jose's first goal by Logan Couture 9:37 into the game and Joe Pavelski's first tally of the season just 48 seconds later doubled the advantage. The two early goals came shortly after the teams had engaged in a nasty brawl, triggered when Sharks defenseman Dan Boyle was slammed into the boards from behind by the Blues' Maxim Lapierre.Boyle was carried from the ice on a stretcher."Dan was alert and moving his extremities and has been taken to a local hospital for evaluation," the team said in a statement.Patrick Marleau notched a goal and two assists while Scott Hannan and Tommy Wingels also scored for San Jose, which improved to 6-0-0 on the season.Antti Niemi stopped 25-of-27 shot in the victory.Jaroslav Halak started in net for the Blues but was pulled after allowing four goals on 26 shots over two periods. Brian Elliott entered and stopped 11-of-13 the rest of the way.Roman Polak and Vladimir Tarasenko scored for St. Louis, which absorbed its first loss after four straight wins to start the season.
