Severe Orlando thunderstorm storm postpones Arnold Palmer Invitational
ORLANDO, Fla., March 24 () -- Severe weather blowing through Orlando, Fla., Sunday prompted tournament officials to delay the finish of the Arnold Palmer Invitational by one day. The event at the Bay Hill Club & Lodge will now conclude Monday after a severe thunderstorm caused damage to the course, PGA Tour Vice President of Rules and Competition Mark Russell said."Golf course is gone, bunkers are gone. We're going to need time for the course to drain," he said.Play was set to resume 10 a.m. (ET) Monday. Defending champion and current three-stroke leader Tiger Woods had completed two holes of the final round when play was called. He was at 1-under par, three shots ahead of four competitors. With a victory, Woods would regain world No. 1 ranking for the first time since October 2010.Ricky Fowler, louboutin sale, Keegan Bradley, Ken Duke and John Huh shared second place at 9-under par when the horn sounded. NBC Sports said five of its camera towers were blown over in the storm, while reporters were forced to evacuate the event's media center.
