The Garment District hosts its semi-annual half-off sale today through Sunday, which includes all the vintage and contemporary wares on the second floor and Boston Costume on the first. (Dollar-A-Pound+, Internet sales, and rental costumes are not included.) If you're looking for some wallet-friendly wardrobe additions or to get a jump on Halloween, now's a good time. The Garment District and Boston Costume are at 200 Broadway, Cambridge, 617-876-5230 and 888-482-1632.
South Boston boutique Ku De Ta, which has been closed since a fire outside the store in May, is hosting a sale starting at noon today at the South Boston Online building. Dresses, tops, and denim that were inside the store at the time of the fire (undamaged, but left with a smoky smell) have been specially treated and are now as good as new; they'll all be marked down up to 70 percent. The sale runs until 8 this evening and then from 10 to 7 tomorrow and noon to 6 on Sunday. South Boston Online is at 663 E. Broadway, South Boston.
On Friday and Saturday, and again on August 6th and 7th, businesses in and around Needham center will take part in an "Inside Out" sales event, arranged by the Needham Business Association, with discounts on the sidewalks and inside stores (and eateries). Other participants include Bertucci's, Abbott's Frozen Custard,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], The Closet Exchange,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Lola Tortola, Lisa's, Michelson's Shoes, and The Grey Goose. This is what's planned:

If you live out near Framingham and could use a Savers fix, you're in luck: The newest Mass. addition to the thrift chain opened its doors there last Thursday. The store has well-organized racks of men's,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], women's,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], kids',[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and home wares; sample prices include $3.99-$8.49 for most men's button-down shirts; most women's shoes for under $10; women's summer dresses for $3.99-$9.99 (a few go for a bit more); books for $0.69-$2.99. Clothing-wise, Gap, Old Navy, and Banana Republic are amply represented; spend some time in the racks,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], though, and you might come away with some good surprises. (There's also a donation center on site; for each pound of clothing or other items given, Savers pays the Epilepsy Foundation.) Savers is at 500 Cochituate Rd., Framingham, 508-875-0225.
