Greece seeks FMS for jet engine parts
WASHINGTON, July 12 () -- The U.S. Defense Security Cooperation Agency says Greece is seeking to purchase spare parts, associated equipment, and services for its F-16 fighter engines.The engines are Pratt & Whitney F100-PW- 229 engines.The Foreign Military Sale, if approved by the U.S. Congress, would be worth an estimated $250 million."This proposed sale will contribute to the foreign policy and national security of the United States by helping to improve the security of a NATO ally," DSCA said in its notification to Congress.
