Encana Corp. says Colorado floods left few marks on energy production
CALGARY, Alberta, Oct. 24 () -- Massive flooding in September in Colorado left no major impact on the annual production of natural reserves, Canadian energy company Encana Corp. announced.Encana is one of the first companies with operations in Colorado to report on the impact of September flooding in its quarterly financial statement."The company is pleased to confirm that its operations experienced no reportable spills or major environmental issues as a result of the severe flooding that affected the Denver-Julesburg basin in Colorado," the company said Wednesday. "The annual production impact is estimated to be minimal at a reduction of less than 250 barrels per day of oil and natural gas liquids."Encana said total oil and natural gas liquids production during the third quarter averaged approximately 58,jimmy choo sale,200 bpd, a 92 percent increase year-on-year.More than a foot of rain fell on parts of Colorado, leading to flooding the National Weather Service described as "biblical." Encana temporarily closed more than 30 percent of its wells in Colorado as a result of the flooding.
