LONDON, April 8 () -- European missile-maker MBDA and Thales UK are billboarding a new partnership to continue development of the CAMM air defense missile. The two companies over the past year have teamed to develop Britain's Complex Weapon supply chain drawing on the missile design and manufacturing capability of Thales' operation in Belfast, Northern Ireland.Complex Weapons is an initiative of Britain's Ministry of Defense for cooperation with industry to help to maintain the country's skills and technologies in missile development. CAMM is a government project for an air defense missile to be used by all three services."The companies are now planning to build on this successful start in the next few months by putting in place a single overall enabling contract to facilitate the efficient placement of future work, christian louboutin online shop," said Alex Cresswell, christian louboutin schuhe, executive vice president for Land and Air Systems at Thales. "This illustrates the commitment of both MBDA and Thales to work together to benefit our complex weapon customers." Work placed with Thales Belfast on the project amounts to more than $1.5 million so far and has presented opportunities for more manufacturing work – worth more than $12 million in the project's development stage -- which will includes structural analysis work and manufacturing of components.
