Potter star wears Ballet Shoes
HARRY Potter star Emma Watson will join an all-star cast in new BBC drama Ballet Shoes.
Emma,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], who plays Hermione Granger in the hit film series, will take on the role of Pauline -one of three orphans to be adopted by an eccentric explorer,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Great Uncle Matthew (acted by Bleak House star Richard Griffith).
Other stars involved in the series include Dame Eileen Atkins (Cranford Chronicles), Emilia Fox (Silent Witness),[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Gemma Jones (Bridget Jones's Diary), Robert Hardy (Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets), Lucy Cohu (The Queen's Sister),[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Harriet Walter (Bright Young Things),[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Lucy Boynton (Miss Potter),[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and Yasmin Paige (Sarah Jane Adventures).
They are joined by Victoria Wood, Richard Griffiths,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and Marc Warren,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], in the feature-length film of the classic novel by Noel Streatfeild.
Patrick Spence, Head of Drama, BBC Northern Ireland, said: "The mix of talent is as close to perfection as any cast could be."
Ballet Shoes,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], first published in September 1936,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], was an immediate bestseller,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and has never been out of print.
Heidi Thomas, who adapted the novel for screen, said: "This is a captivating cast, worthy in every way of Streatfeild's gorgeous book."
