Oman Navy orders bridge, navigation system
TEWKSBURY, Mass., April 9 () -- Integrated bridge and navigation systems are being provided to the Royal Navy of Oman by the German subsidiary of Raytheon.Under the package deal, Raytheon Anschuetz will equip four of Oman's new Al-Ofouq class offshore patrol vessels with the new-generation systems which feature standardized human machine interface and enhanced multifunctional workstations."A consistent system design and the use of standard hardware provide a high level of flexibility to adapt the bridge system to various mission and naval requirements," Raytheon said. "The design and components also help to reduce costs associated with engineering, logistics, spares and technical support."Information on the value of the contract and the performance time line were not given but Raytheon said the award includes provisions for comprehensive documentation and training for instructors,[url=http://www.tjmobiles.com]Chaussure Gucci[/url], operators and maintenance support personnel.Oman last year ordered for patrol boats from Singapore Technologies Marine Ltd.
